Use Instructions for Each Component & Complete Each Before Assembly.  Components to complete are:

*  10" Sphere *(must place a 1/2"  diameter tube (metal or plastic) when pouring each half of sphere to create a hole for your fountain tubing.  Pour two halves and mortar them together following instructions
*  Cortona Saucer
*  Pedestal (6")
*  Column Base

Molds Included in 5 Piece Cortona Fountain With Sphere Kit:

one each of -
10" half round mold
Cortona Saucer mold
15" half round mold (to create hollow in Cortona bowl)
Column wrap to create pedestal
Column base mold
Other items needed: 1)  a pump with min. 20" lift, 2) 15" long plastic tube, diameter to fit pump connection (used to connect from pump and through fountain) 3) thinset mortar 2 lb box 4) 1 tbs silicone 5) apx. 2 60lb bags of ready mix concrete 6) 1 quart of concrete sealant 7) concrete stain or concrete colorants if you choose (both found at the hardware store)
Complete each of the pieces above, being sure to create a hole in your 10" sphere and mortaring both halves.  All of your pieces should to continue to cure for a few days after removing them from the molds.   It is best to assemble your fountain in the location you plan to keep it because it will be very heavy (but not impossible) to move.

To assemble your fountain:

1.  You should add concrete stains and/or concrete sealant to the 10" sphere and the cortona saucer before assembling.  You can stain the other compoents now or after completion.

2.  Mix up a small batch of thinset mortar (you can mix more as you go quite easily following the instructions with your mix).

3.  "Butter" the top of the column base and the bottom of your column pedestal with the thinset mortar.  Stacking the pedestal on top and grout the seam with the same material taking care to clean off the excess with a sponge or straight edge.  Note -- it is helpful to dampen each piece being mortared together prior to applying mortar/adhesive.

4.  Follow the same process to attach the cortona saucer to the pedestal top.

5.  Use stones or other appropriate items to raise your cortona saucer just slightly above the water pump and to hide the pump..  Connect your 12" tube into the pump and through the sphere.  Put pump in place in the center of the bowl, and the 10" sphere with center hole on top of the stones/risers holding it just above the pump. Use silicone to seal the tube into the top of your sphere (so water will not leak back into the sphere).

Once your fountain is assembled and sealant applied,  you can plug in your fountain and adjust it to flow at the hieght you desire (keeping the water in the bowl). Be sure your electrical connection is a GFC connection.
